The app is only supporting ios17 or later versions which is a big let down because there are so many people who use older devices. Canara bank has to support older versions or bring out a lite version of the app for older ios versions. It will help a lot of people owning iPhone to use the app without changing the phone just because of ai1 app. For perspective, the peer bank apps are compatible as follows; SBI: ios 12 or later PNB : iOS 11 or later BOB : iOS 13 or later Please look into the issue and improve compatibility with older versions. People will put more money in your bank instead of wasting it on new iPhone.
When Apple itself is providing the security updates for seven years.. then I feel Canara Bank can provide updates for at least 3-4 yr old versions..
Just for canara Ai1 app, a customer will not buy a new phone. He will just uninstall the app and continue using the phone.. That is a loss to canara bank and not to customer or Apple.
Please look into it. Especially as the peer banks are supporting way more than canara bank.

If a customer single handedly believe in Canara the user will definitely going to struggle. The UPI service fails most of the time. The bank application itself is full of bug. It exits automatically and when try to login in the middle of payment it says system busy. This happens even at 7am and even at 11pm. This application is developed just for branding. Full of bugs and so on. The login otp or message are received after 30 minutes. I am currently on a 5G network with a speed of around 200+ mbps and with plenty of data balance left, the application always says you are on a slow network. This is with everyone. I think this application is not developed for 5G users, probably for upcoming 6G or 7G users. This is the worst service anyone could get. Always need to keep another banking partner along with me while you where filling petrol or paying at hotels. Please carry money as Coins and notes otherwise you have to suffer and they will take you back to some time in 2010 or 2011 where there is ATM service only. Please improve yourself. Customers are there for service and it’s not for your service.

I own an iPhone 8 plus. This model cannot be updated further. Since the new version of the Canara Bank app requires iOS 17 and above, users having prior models of the iPhone are unable to access the app and use it. This is very inconvenient. Users having older versions of iPhone, like iPhone 8 at-least, should not be denied this app as it was working perfectly fine when the app supported iOS 16. I kindly request Canara Bank and Apple to amicably resolve this.
Update: Apple is not permitting users with iPhone 8 plus to update to iOS 17. This being the case, how can we use the app? Please don’t ask us to do something which is not possible to do from our end. When other banks can allow us to use their apps with the older iOS versions, why not Canara Bank? This is very disappointing. It seems that Canara Bank does not welcome consumer complaints and is very much ignorant. Horrendous attitude!
